I thought I was done sanding!?

Posted on August 8, 2018January 4, 2023 by David

OK, not really. I knew this was coming.

It’s time to sand the epoxy to get it ready for the varnish on the deck and the polyurethane on the hull and the coaming.

The goal here is to smooth out the epoxy so that the finish has a good base for adhesion. The hull will not be as smooth because of all the repairs to the plywood. It is turning out pretty good,  just not perfect.

And yes, I’m outside. For a couple of reasons previously covered in posts. The dust is really bad and the sander resonates (55 gal drum analogy). I’m sure the neighbors appreciate the noise.
